A shareholder with SMD, B.J. Hoffman concentrates his efforts in the areas of litigation support, tax planning, and attestation services.

B.J.’s tax and audit practice is varied, including real estate ventures, investment companies, healthcare facilities, professional service providers, high net-worth individuals, and not-for-profit organizations. In addition, he is skilled in working with start-up, entrepreneurial enterprises and closely held businesses.

B.J. also provides litigation support and expert testimony to attorneys in matters ranging from divorce and employee theft to financial statement fraud. Strengthening organizations’ internal controls and identifying and eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse is a particular focus of his practice.

A magna cum laude graduate of Lehigh University’s School of Business and Economics, B.J. was recently nominated for the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Distinguished Service Award.
